About Us

Welcome to Emmanuel International Mission

Emmanuel International Mission (EIM) is the United States affiliate of Emmanuel Relief and Rehabilitation International (Emmanuel International or EI for short). We are an international, interdenominational, evangelical organization that assists communities worldwide through the agency of the churches within those communities in order to meet the needs of the poor. Founded in 1975 by Rev. George Middleton as a response to the widespread suffering caused by a devastating famine in eastern Africa, Emmanuel International has a proven record of commitment, care and compassion in addressing these needs.

Emmanuel International works in developing countries worldwide through effective, caring action and culturally sensitive projects. Our efforts meet the needs of people practically, spiritually and emotionally.

Our Ministries take us to some of the most remote areas of the world to serve the poorest of the poor. We address the poverty of others regardless of race, gender, color or religion. Working under the authority of local churches, our projects address the needs identified in collaboration with the communities they serve. Through these close connections, we dedicate our mission towards meeting the needs of the poor.

The programs and ministries we implement involve working in the areas of Sustainable Development, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Christian Ministry and more.
